The Band That Exists to Explore Everything Bad

Formed in 2020 in Maringá, the band "camel_case" didn't come into existence out of love for music or artistic mission - but because, let's face it, who can resist the temptation of losing themselves in a life of excess? Lucas (vocals and guitar), Cris (vocals and bass), and Thiago (drums) weren't searching for fame or recognition - the real reason this band exists? Unlimited access to drugs, sex, and all the wonders that come with the chaos of an independent life.

With five singles released and a self-titled album featuring 10 tracks, "camel_case" doesn't bother hiding its inspirations: introspective, existential, and yes, sometimes melancholic lyrics that reflect the consequences of a life filled with indulgences and questionable decisions. Among this turbulent journey, the song "carryOn" stood out, perhaps for the irony of singing about moving on, even when you know the end is inevitable - or maybe just because it's the catchiest, whatever.

Despite fitting the indie band cliché of wanting to be different but really being more of the same, "camel_case" keeps going, as a musical representation of those who would rather be anywhere else but here, playing for people who have no clue what it's really like to live deeply. Don't expect depth. Just expect the mess.

The band has no intention of changing the world, nor do they aim to be an inspiration - they're here because, well, why not? In the end, the show will go on as long as there's one more substance to try and one more addiction to feed.
